The staff at COPE is here to help you.  Combined, we have over 25 years of clinical
experience, and we have a  diverse background working with the gay, lesbian, bisexual,
and Transgender community.  
Jeannie Lewis,
Outpatient Services Program Director

Jeannie is the Program Director and Director of Outpatient Services for WestCare
Florida.  Jeannie’s prior roles within the organization include Program Director for
Juvenile Justice Residential Program and Program Director for Ryan White HIV
program.   Jeannie has a Masters in Mental Health Counseling, BA in Psychology,
Certified HIV Counseling and Testing, Certified Train the Trainer - HIV Counseling and
Testing, Certified Addictions Professional, Mental Health Counseling Intern for
licensure as an LMHC

Jeannie began working in the field in prevention in 1985 – was the youth and media
coordinator – developed positive peer groups and developed and implemented a
media campaign; she has been a caseload counselor, clinical coordinator,
administrator, program director, ran a sibling prevention program, worked with youthful
offenders ages 16 –24, juvenile males ages 12 –14 and adults, and a caseload
counselor within a detox facility.

Jeannie brings a caring attitude, support, sense of humor, respect, dedication to, and
passion for the work, knowledge and compassion  


Sharon Troupe, M.A.
Counselor

Sharon has worked in the field of psychology for over 13 years. In working in the
psychology field as a counselor, she achieved her experience from the State of Florida
by being exposed to Juvenile delinquents. Ms. Troupe experienced ranged from Foster
Care, Drug and Alcohol and Social Service counseling. After graduating with a Master’s
of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling, she is pursuing a license in Mental Health
Counseling and is an Intern registered with the State of Florida. Ms. Troupe left the
state of Florida and perplexed in Genesis a non-profit organization for behavioral
health service in Winter Haven, Florida.

She then became the Vice President for the company and a Mental Health Therapist.
Ms. Troupe managed and supervised individuals in conducting comprehensive mental
health assessment and psychological evaluation for the Department of Juvenile
Justice.

Ms. Troupe currently, is a Counselor for the Cope (Counselor Outreach Prevention
Education) program. She provides substance abuse prevention, comprehensive
psychosocial assessments, support groups, Individual/group therapy, and outpatient’s
substance abuse treatment. Ms. Troupe believes in order to provide treatment, you
have to understand what conceptuality to analyze and be honorable in your decision. It
is also encouraging to be genuine in the work that you specialize in order to appreciate
your reward, to make people healthy.

Ricki Liff
Outreach Supervisor

Ricki is the Outreach Supervisor within the COPE program at WestCare and received a
BA from Carnegie-Mellon in 1967 and has worked in social services since 1968. She
worked for two years within a state Mental Health agency followed by 30 years in
Richmond VA.  As a Family and Children’s Caseworker for a state's Dept. of Social
Services, she was in the forefront of the battle against HIV/AIDS as it began to appear
in Virginia in the early 80’s.

Ricki retired to Florida and performed volunteer work.  She began her career with
WestCare in 2003 and believes her personal experience is her biggest contributions
to potential clients seeking help.  

As a Transgender woman, Ricki is fortunate to have the education and training to help
guide WestCare to be the primary agency for counseling, support groups, and help to
one of the most ignored and misunderstood minority groups in our community.


Juan Texidor
Peer Educator

Juan is a Peer Educator within the COPE program, and in addition to being bilingual,
plays an integral part in the Latino community.

Juan's experience includes classes in HIV/AIDS Care giving, HIV and AIDS testing,
methanphedimine abuse, neurobiology and pharmacology.

Juan believes he can play a valuable role in educating the Latino and Latina
community regarding gay, lesbian, bisexual, and Transgender issues and HIV/AIDS.


Aspen DeLoach
Peer Educator

Aspen is a Peer Educator within the COPE program and brings an abundance of
personal and practical experience with her to WestCare.

Aspen’s experience is focused on building solid trust and relationships within the
cosmetology and nursing fields.  In addition, she has assisted family members and
friends with addiction and identity issues.

Aspen is determined, as a Transgender woman herself, to educate, inform, and
spread the word on WestCare’s vast array of resources for the community.


Patrick Frankfurter, MCSA, MCDBA
Regional Data Specialist   
             

Patrick is the Regional Data Specialist within WestCare Florida.  His role within COPE
is to streamline data reporting and analysis to management and external agencies.

Patrick received a BA in Finance from the University of Phoenix in Denver and is
certified in Oracle.  He has worked in the field of database design and programming
for over 4 years.  Patrick is Microsoft Certified in Database Administration and Systems
Administration.

Patrick believes, although not directly interacting with clients, he is playing a role within
the Transgender and minority sector of the community by assisting the organization
with its data requirements.
